As a parent, I know the wonderful chaotic joy a little boy adds to your life. There’s so much adventure in those little bodies. The laughs, the bumps, and the bruises are plentiful! I️ consider my greatest job is to not only teach them, help them grow and keep them safe, but to also pray for them and be the example they need to chose a Christ-filled life.

With our short time together, the love and gentleness these parents had for their boys was so touching. I can just imagine, in their home, they also pray for the boys. Maybe a prayer something like this…

Dear Lord, your gifts are many. I️ am thankful for every one. One of the greatest gifts you’ve given us is the gift of my wonderful sons. Thank you for each one of their lives, dear God. Watch over each of our boys every single day. I️ pray that you protect them and keep them safe and free from harm. Bless them and give them strength through life’s trials. Help my boys discern right from wrong. May they each be a shining example for all to see, so that others might come to know your love and grace. – AMEN

Iris and John, I️ know you two are great examples for your boys. The love and kindness you have for them can’t be denied. You are the type of parents this world needs to raise the next generation. Parenting can be tough, but the love is still greater. Keep up the wonderful parenting.
